We love our employees, and there’s nothing that excites us more than seeing someone grow with our company. Today we’re doing a little Q&A to get to know one of these employees better: Hanna Drury, our Raleigh Operations Director. Learn how she joined the team, rose in the ranks, and what she loves about being a Little Guy.
When did you join Little Guys Movers?
I joined Little Guys Movers in June of 2017 at the Denton, Texas location.
What drew you to LGM? Why did you apply?
To be completely honest, I had no idea what Little Guys Movers was, but I needed a job so I applied to give estimates over the phone. It didn’t take very long before I fell in love with the people, the company, and everything LGM is about. I knew I wanted to be a Little Guy for life and grow as a person with the company.
What do you love about being part of the Little Guys team?
I love the camaraderie and the close-knit, family feeling. It is an amazing feeling watching the crews celebrate after helping each other accomplish goals. If you ever need help, there is always somebody right there willing to help. We work hard together to accomplish goals and celebrate together when we get there.
How has LGM given you opportunities for growth?
I was hired as Office Help at the Denton, Texas location to do estimates over the phone and worked my way up to Assistant Operations Director. I was promoted to Operations Director and transferred to the Raleigh location in June of 2021 to continue my growth as well as the company’s.
What do you love about being an Ops Director in Raleigh?
I am enjoying getting to know all the lovely people at this branch and experiencing a store outside of Texas. I love making things better not only for the current Little Guys but for ALL Little Guys in the future!
What are your favorite things about Raleigh?
I am still experiencing Raleigh since I am so new. There is SO much to do here. It has an old time southern feel that I like and the community is big on supporting local businesses.
If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Does coffee count as a meal? It would probably be my grandma’s spaghetti. You can never go wrong with grandma’s spaghetti.
Random fact about you:
I have seen The Office 19 times. But, I have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies or Lord of the Rings. I don’t like ketchup and I eat mustard with my French fries.
