Last year we had the pleasure of helping out with the McKinney Chamber of Commerce’s golf tournament, and we jumped at the chance to be involved again this year!
The Annual Chamber Golf Classic is going on its 27th year and is a huge event in the community. The tournament raises money for the Chamber of Commerce and it includes an online auction and a raffle. This year we got to sponsor a hole, but not just any hole — the Heckle Hole.
At the Heckle Hole, our musician and improv comedian friend Paul Slavens teased players with fun, lighthearted humor as they teed off. In one running gag, Paul warned players to steer clear of the water — then kept a running tally of all the balls that ended up making a splash. Everyone had a good laugh and it was a fun way to break up the day! We also offered golf-related Little Guys swag, cold water, and a team photo opportunity overlooking the water and the clubhouse.
We were proud to sponsor a hole at the tournament this year, and we also got to do what we do best — move things! Little Guys Movers helped with setting up the event, including moving necessary items to the venue, getting everything in its right place, and putting the hole signs at each of the holes. We also returned the next day to move everything back to the McKinney Chamber of Commerce office as well as a storage unit.
Getting to be a part of this event was, once again, an amazing experience. Our goal is to always be McKinney’s #1, go-to moving company, so we’re honored that the Chamber of Commerce chooses us to help out. We love golf, we love moving, and we really love our community — it’s a win-win-win!
