Since 2010, Little Guys Movers has been involved with Denton’s Day of the Dead Festival. Over the years the festival has grown, bringing upwards of 20,000 visitors every year. Last year we shared about the history and importance of the festival — read all about it here! — and this year we can’t wait to continue the legacy.

Day of the Dead Fest 2024

From a one-day event to an all-weekend extravaganza, Denton’s Day of the Dead Festival gets bigger every year! In fact, the event has even expanded over to Oak Street to accommodate all the activities and guests.

An Event That Gives Back

An inclusive, family-focused festival, Day of the Dead is free to the public, and proceeds from race entry fees, sponsorships, Cirque du Horror tickets, merchandise sales, and vendor fees go to a good cause. This year, the benefactors of Day of the Dead are Serve Denton and Cumberland Youth and Family Services.

How We’re Helping Out

As always, many of Little Guys Movers’ leadership team helps organize the Day of the Dead Festival, including our co-founder Marcus Watson acting as the Site Management and Operations Director. Little Guys Movers is also a corporate sponsor of the event.

And of course we’re helping out with some actual moving! Denton’s Day of the Dead Festival has two large storage units, and Little Guys Movers will be transporting all of the items in storage to the event location. We’ll also be keeping a Little Guys Movers truck onsite for as-needed storage.

Thirty One Days of Denton Halloween

For 2024, the city of Denton is taking Halloween a bit further than previous years. The Thirty One Days of Denton Halloween is a city-wide event featuring fun activities and spooky vibes all October long. Denton is prepared to be THE Halloween destination in the Metroplex, inspired partly by the great success of the Day of the Dead Festival.

When the city first thought up the Thirty One Days of Denton Halloween, they asked some local businesses, including Little Guys Movers, to help them come up with ideas to celebrate the season. We were honored that they thought of us and loved getting to share our insight as local business owners and major contributors to Day of the Dead.

For the Love of Denton

We love being part of Denton’s Day of the Dead Festival for so many reasons, one big one being the way it brings the whole community together. People from all corners of our fair city enjoy this event. These kinds of things help our local businesses and make Denton a better place to live, work, and play. Day of the Dead shows people why Denton is so amazing, and we love being part of that — because we love this town!
