… Freezing rain… sleet… and snow likely Saturday night through Sunday night…
An upper level storm system will approach Oklahoma and western North Texas Saturday night and Sunday morning. As this occurs an Arctic cold front will bring very cold air into Oklahoma and western North Texas. Areas of freezing drizzle and light freezing rain are expected to develop across portions of northern and central Oklahoma after midnight Saturday night.
Rain chances farther south will change to a chance of freezing rain during the day on Sunday. Across central and northern Oklahoma the freezing rain is expected to transition to mainly sleet and snow Sunday. Light accumulations of ice… sleet and snow can be expected before the precipitation ends Sunday evening. This will result in treacherous driving conditions across Oklahoma and western North Texas.
