Food Trucks That Make a Difference
Every single day, our moving trucks allow us to make the moving process safe, speedy, and less stressful for our customers. Today, we’re proud to announce that we’re using our trucks for another good cause – we’re turning them into food trucks – the kind that can help make a difference to people in our communities.
We’re talking canned goods and non-perishable items here. You see, Little Guys Movers has teamed up with national non-profit Move for Hunger to help alleviate food insecurity issues in the communities in which we live and work. To date, Move For Hunger has helped deliver more than 8 million pounds of food to local food banks throughout the U.S. and Canada, and we’re proud to be joining their national network of moving companies in the fight against hunger.
After 25 years of experience, we can attest to the fact that when people move, they often throw out a good deal of “stuff.” Unfortunately, much of it is food that could be shared with a family in need. At absolutely no cost to our customers, on your next move, we would be happy take your unwanted canned foods or non-perishable items off your hands and find them a good home.
MOVING TIP: Let Little Guys lighten your load! On moving day, they will haul away your unwanted canned goods and donate them to your local food bank at no cost to you.
How Can You Participate?
It’s simple! Before your next move with Little Guys Movers, let us know you have food goods that you don’t want to take to your new house, apartment, or office. On moving day, we will pack them up and deliver them to local food banks or similar organizations in the area that we’ve committed to work with. And that’s it! Easy peasy.
We’re Your Local Food Donation Drop-Off
But you don’t have to wait until moving day to participate: each of our locations also acts as a drop-off spot for anyone donating goods to share with those in need.
