Helping out our community is always a priority at Little Guys Movers, but in light of the coronavirus outbreak, it’s more important than ever. We love when we get to use our moving skills and resources to give back – we get to do what we do best, and help others in the process.
Our Little Guys Movers Wilmington location recently got to assist Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, a local food pantry that provides emergency food to families that are struggling financially. The Little Guys lended a hand (and a truck or two) to help Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard move food donations from St. Mary’s Catholic Church to the food bank.
“No one should go hungry during the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Branch Manager Andrew Harmon. “A lot of people have lost their jobs and are in need. We’re fortunate to have the resources to get food from a donation location to the food pantry to help people in our community.”
Little Guys Movers took precautions to ensure that the food was moved as safely as possible, including wearing gloves and masks. Furthermore, every Little Guys truck is equipped with a hand washing station and disinfectant, which are used generously.
