Last month, Little Guys Raleigh got the chance to work alongside community volunteers from Wells Fargo to help move ten veterans into their new homes. This whole project took place just in time for National Volunteer Week, and was made possible by CASA and The Green Chair Project.
If you aren’t familiar with these nonprofits: CASA is an affordable housing development nonprofit that works to assist low-income people with disabilities, and The Green Chair Project helps people in major transitions shop and take home gently used furniture donations to get back on their feet. We appreciate new opportunities to give back to our community and the fine citizens of Raleigh, and these organizations always provide an awesome way for us to lend our moving skills to folks who can use an extra hand.
