Each year, the Little Guys Movers Lubbock location helps out with the local Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk. This event raises money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization that supports breast cancer research, community health, global outreach, and public policy initiatives in order to fight the disease.
The 2020 event, however, was a bit different than usual. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, gathering in person was not an option. Little Guys Movers usually assists by setting up and tearing down the race course, but this year the race was virtual, with participants walking on their own time. Instead, LGM moved supplies from several Susan G. Komen offices in West Texas to help them prepare for the virtual event.
“This year is a little more special because even in the midst of the pandemic, this organization keeps fighting to end breast cancer,” says Branch Manager Drew Brannon. “I know that LGM is only a small part of what this organization does, but we are more than honored to support them and the good they are doing for so many people.”
